My First Art Collection
My first Art Collection is een trainingsprogramma voor mensen die kunst
willen leren verzamelen. Het is programma waarin mensen de kunstwereld
op een persoonlijke manier van binnenuit leren kennen. Door zelf
hedendaagse kunst te verzamelen zullen wij ons uiteindelijk sterker
verbonden voelen met het gezamenlijke culturele erfgoed. My first Art

Roy Mathew and Christie Alvares, bringing books back to black
Roy: 'It's books and media,
actually. We sell novels, books on Santeria or Antilliean saying, but
also Black Vogue, telenovelas, or gay black TV series like Noah's Arc.
All importerd from the Americas. We get a lot of tourist. More and more
African-Americans and black people from other countries travel nowadays.
Our shop shows them that Amsterdam is a real metropolis, on par with
london or New York.
